When I first started teaching classroom music many years ago, children constantly teased me about my last name, calling me "Mr Ketchup." It was always in good fun. But in response to this, my alter ego, Mr. Mustard was born. Mr. Mustard is really my twin cousin: we were born on the same day, in the same year and are identical twins. On the last day of school each June, I set up my hammock and hibernate while Mr. Mustard can be seen on the tractor, mowing the fields and hauling the winter wood. On the first day of school, I wake up, return to my classroom and Mr. Mustard returns to his mustard farm in South America. To this day, many children insist that he is not real! Who knows? These are just a few of our favorite classroom songs we sing and dance to. MR.
